How many days does a course last?

The kitesurfing course is of 4 levels that you can follow over a minimum of 2, maximum 4 days. We advise you to take levels 1 and 2 on the same day and levels 3 and 4 on two different days in order not to tire yourself too much.

Is it possible to have private lessons?

We have different formulas; Packages of hours, à la carte, group or private.

Do these prices include all the necessary equipment?

YES! The price of the lessons includes all necessary equipment. Just bring clothes according to the weather, sunglasses and sunscreen

How many hours does it take to learn to kitesurf?

The speed at which you can learn to kitesurf varies from student to student, but on average our students sail after 3-4 lessons. Private lessons last 2 hours and group lessons last 2.5 hours (maximum 2 students). You only need one lesson to discover this wonderful sport!

When will my kitesurfing lesson be cancelled?

When the wind is too light (less than 12 knots) or too strong (more than 27 knots), kitesurfing lessons will be cancelled.

It is also possible that the wind direction is not good, so we suggest other suitable spots in the region (Netherlands).

Is kitesurfing a risky sport?

Kitesurfing is considered a risky sport as it presents potential dangers.
But as with diving, paragliding or driving a car, once the safety procedures have been learned,
it is practiced without any worries.

So no worries, just rigour and caution.

Do you have to be strong for kitesurfing?

No, you don’t need to be strong to kite surf. The power of the kite ends up on your harness. It’s like riding a bicycle. There is no strength in your arms.

Can I start kitesurfing on my own?

Although easy to access, kitesurfing requires specific knowledge that will be taught to you properly
in an approved school and by an IKO certified instructor.

This is the only way to start kitesurfing.

Is there a minimum weight requirement?

Physical condition and swimming ability are taken into account rather than weight, but nevertheless a minimum weight of 40 kg is necessary, you can start between 12 and 14 years old depending on your morphology.

Is there a restaurant nearby?

The school is located onthe concession of the RBSC Royal Belgium Sailing Club, one of the coolest beach clubs on the Belgian coast with a beach bar/restaurant.

The club also has changing rooms, showers, and hoses to rinse your equipment.

Is kitesurfing tiring?

Although kitesurfing is an intensive sport, people of all levels can do it. However, we recommend that our students follow our recommendations. Steps 1 and 2 can be completed in one day. Steps 3 and 4 should be completed within 2 days.

Do you sell equipment?

We do not sell kitesurfing equipment. However, we work in collaboration with the kitesurfing shop BILLYKITE, located in Brussels. This shop will provide you with advice, service and quality equipment tailored to your needs.

How do I make a reservation for kitesurfing lessons?

Go to the Reservations page, create a profile, from there you can access the instructors’ availability and the online calendar. Choose date, time, type of course and teacher and language, secure your place in the schedule by paying a deposit of 60€. You will receive a confirmation email, a reminder 3 days before and an email/sms the day before your lesson with your final schedule and all the useful information related to your lesson.
