What about water safety ?
To ensure your safety on the water, we take rigorous measures to ensure that your experience remains a worry-free pleasure. Each morning after breakfast, a detailed briefing on the day’s section is organized, highlighting specifics and potential dangers such as reefs.
Your group will be accompanied by multiple guides on the water, while on the beach, 4×4 all-terrain vehicles remain in radio contact with the guides.
We want you to fully enjoy your downwind experience without worrying about anything other than kitesurfing. We take care of everything else !
What kiteboarding level is required for a downwind in Brazil ?
First and foremost, it’s important to note that a downwind is not suitable for absolute beginners! You should have prior experience in kiteboarding in open water and in small waves. Depending on the spots and conditions, waves in northeastern Brazil can vary from 50 cm to 2.5 m in height. You should be able to relaunch your kite, handle upwind body dragging, and have self-rescue skills in your repertoire.
Since we’ll be covering distances of up to 50 km, a good basic level of physical fitness is essential.Of course, participants can join the support vehicle at any time if they wish. If you normally ride regular (left foot forward), you’ll need to be comfortable riding switch or toeside, as the wind predominantly comes from the sea and side-onshore.
